Welcome to the website of the Department of Applied Physics of the University of Granada.

This department is involved in teaching in 8 different University Qualifications and 5 official Master's Degrees. The department is divided into 11 research teams with intense activity in the following research fields:

  • Planetary Atmospheres. Minor bodies of the Solar System
  • Physics of Fluids. Physics of Interfaces. Colloidal Systems
  • Physics of the Atmosphere. Urban Climatology and Climate Change
  • Numerical Methods: Dynamic, Electromagnetic and Acoustic Systems
  • Signal Processing: Radar, Acoustic Images and Genomic

Currently, the department is constituted by 18 full Professors, 1 Emeritus Professor, 20 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor, 2 “Ramón y Cajal” Fellows, 3 “Juan de la Cierva” Fellows, 2 Fellows of the Program of Reincorporation, 1 UGR-Fellow Researcher, 1 Fellow of the I+D+i projects for Young Researchers, 1 Postdoctoral Researchers of Junta de Andalucía, 9 PhD Fellows under Research Projects, 14 members in the Research Staff in Training, 7 Young Researchers (National System for Youth Guarantee) and 2 Administrative Members.
