Andrea Casans is a PhD Student in the Physical Atmospheric Group at the Department of Applied Physics of the University of Granada.
She graduated in Physics in 2017 at the University of Zaragoza and then, she studied a Master’s Degree in Physics and Physical Technologies at the University of Zaragoza, too. Due to her interests in Meteorology, she did her final research projects in collaboration with AEMET. She studied mesoescalar flow structures from wind data measured with meteorological radar.
Previously, in 2019, she came to Granada to continue developing her knowledge in the field of Meteorology and she studied Master’s Degree in Geophysics and Meteorology. In this case, her final project was based on the study of optical depth obtained with models and radar and solar photometry data.
Currently, she is studying her PhD with GFAT (Grupo de Física de la Atmósfera/ Physical Atmosphere Group) in Granada and her research is focused on studying capacity of activation of biogenic aerosol particles as cloud condensation nuclei.
Her professional experience is orientated to teaching since she has taught Physics and Maths in Secondary School and has participated in scientific dissemination projects carried out at the University of Malaga.
Futhermore, in 2018/2019, she taught the subjects of Laboratory in Physics I and Physics II in the School of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Zaragoza.
