Ismael López Lozano

Ismael López Lozano is a member of the Department of Applied Physics of the University of Granada, hired as a Research Personnel in Training, by the FPU program. Graduated in Environmental Sciences and obtained the M.Sc. in Techniques and Sciences of the Water Quality, with specialization in Techniques of Bio-monitoring and Design of Strategies of Recovery of Aquatic Systems Subjected to Stress, in the years 2015 and 2016 respectively.

His work as a researcher began in 2015 in the department of Ecology hired as a technician under research project. In 2016 began a doctorate program in Fundamental and Systems Biology, beginning his teaching activity at the same time in the Department of Ecology with the subject of Population and Communities Ecology, of the Degree in Biology. Since 2018 Ismael is a member of Applied Physics Department in which he is pursuing a doctoral degree in Physics and Space Sciences since 2018. Currently, his teaching activity is focussed on the subjects of Physics I of the Degree in Chemical Engineering, and Physical Foundations Applied to the Facilities of the Architecture Degree.

His research activity is framed on the of the study of Global Change, with two different stages. The first is focused on improving the knowledge of the net CO2 flows between the atmosphere and the continental and marine aquatic systems, developed in the Department of Ecology, with participation in several projects, among which have the projects of excellence of the Board of Andalusia ref. P12-RNM-327 and P09-RNM-5376 and the research projects of the Ministry of Science and Innovation ref. CGL2011-23681 and CGL2015-67682-R. And currently, studying the interaction between photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) and aerosols in the city of Granada.
