Paloma Arenas Guerrero

Degree in Physics (2008-2013) and Master in Physics and Mathematics (2013-2014) at the University of Granada.

Currently working as a PhD student, under the FPU 2014 program. The title of my doctoral thesis project is 'Electro-optical behaviour of metallic particles in alternating fields'.

I have taught practical credits of the subjects 'General Physics I', 'Basic Experimental Techniques' and 'Physics of the Solid State', in the Physics degree.

My research focuses on the electro-optical phenomena of non-spherical particles in suspension, such as sodium montmorillonite, gold nanorods, graphene oxide or silver nanowires. My work on carbon nanotubes was developed during a short-term stay at Queen Mary London University.
