María José Granados Muñoz is currently a Marie Slodowska Curie-IF researcher (H2020 Program of the European Union) in the Department of Applied Physics of the University of Granada (UGR), in the Atmosphere Physics group led by Prof. Lucas Alados Arboledas. She has a degree in Physics from the University of Granada since 2009, she obtained her Master's degree in Geophysics and Meteorology in 2010 and the degree of Doctor in Physics and Space Sciences in 2014. During 2015 and 2016 she continued her career with a postdoctoral stay at Table Mountain Facility, Jet Propulsion Laboratory (California, USA), and a postdoctoral Juan de la Cierva-Formación contract in the Signal Theory Department of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona) from 2017 to 2019.
Her research focuses on atmospheric characterization using active and passive remote sensing techniques. She has collaborated in more than 5 international projects and is the author of more than 30 articles published in high-impact journals in addition to having more than 60 publications in international conferences related to her research. Her fundamental lines of research include:
• Characterization of the atmospheric aerosol by means of active and passive remote sensing techniques.
• Characterization of the microphysical properties and the effects of hygroscopic growth of the aerosol.
• Study of tropospheric ozone by means of active remote sensing techniques.
• Radiative transfer models.
• Study of cloud-aerosol interactions and their effects on radiative forcing.
